Today is a Snow Fairy day… with a cuppa Ginger and Lemon tea..
Things don’t always go to plan…So i only managed to cut the fabric out yesterday for the phone pouch, not as much progress as I would of liked, but some day’s it’s just like that, I spent most of the day trying to fix the like button on this blog, but alas it eluded me, so I have parked that task for now in favour of finishing the bag. I have a wonderful friends birthday coming up and really need to focus on the task in hand or she will be giftless! I will post a picture of what I am hopefully going to make her after her birthday as you never know she may be reading my blog.
Does anybody else have chickens that are not laying, honestly we are feeding the whole wild bird population of the Charente at the moment I think, our chickens are indeed very fussy about what they eat, they pick out the bits they want and leave the rest all over the floor for every Robin, Jay and Pigeon to eat! seriously if they don’t lay soon they will be in the pot!!! ok ok they won’t I couldn’t do that, but I do tell them, but I think they know I am a bit of a push over, so in the meantime while waiting for the chickens to lay, oh they have names by the way, we have Ivy who is head hen, and then we have Betsy… we did have Repecka but sadly she is no longer with us… (no she did not go in the pot) I think life is a little to easy for them and maybe we should get a couple more chickens to shake things up a little, after all how am I meant to make Mark cake if I have no eggs… buy them I hear you say, well yes I do but it’s a little bit counter productive when we have chickens who should be providing the said eggs for the cake! but I have to say they are fun to have around and it means they eat our scraps, and it is very much part of living in rural France.
I have to get back to the sewing now, until next time… have a lovely day x
